The Palestinian Cabinet condemns repeated settler incursions against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, calls on South Korea to exclude settlement goods from its free trade agreement with Israel, decides to offer work grants to Palestinian graduate students willing to live in the Jordan Valley and work with its citizens in productive projects, and congratulates pilgrims on completing their Hajj.
During its weekly meeting held in Ramallah today, the Palestinian Cabinet decided to offer work grants to Palestinian graduate students willing to live in the Jordan Valley and its villages and work with its citizens in productive projects. This aims at strengthening our presence on our land, and preventing the encroachments of the occupation.
The Cabinet affirmed that supporting the steadfastness of Palestinian citizens on their own land, especially in Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley, the so-called “Area C”, and in areas threatened by the wall, settlements, and the dangers of annexation and expansion, is a priority for the government. This is due to the applying force by the occupation over these lands and their resources, targeting citizens' homes and property as well as confiscating their land and livelihoods, and impeding construction and development efforts.
Finally, the Cabinet congratulated the pilgrims on completing their Hajj this year, and thanked the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs as well as all related parties for their efforts in providing all means of comfort and safety for pilgrims to perform the rituals of pilgrimage with ease and tranquility and ensure their return safely to their homeland.
