Weekly Cabinet meeting 65
During the weekly Cabinet meeting, held in Ramallah today, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh called on the Palestinian citizens to strictly abide by the precautionary measures of the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of COVID-19 outbreak in light of the alarming increase in the number of infected and deceased people from the pandemic.
The Prime Minister stressed that although the government implemented strict measures to prevent the spread of the virus, and ensure the needed medical supplies to combat it, it is also keen to turn on the wheel of economy under the safety conditions of the Ministry of Health.
The Minister of Health briefed the Cabinet on the developments of the epidemiological situation and measures taken to reduce the spread of COVID-19, especially in terms of appointing a new medical staff to support the current one, and immediately providing all medical supplies, as directed by the Prime Minister.
The Foreign Minister also provided a briefing on the Ministry’s diplomatic efforts in all international forums regarding the confrontation of the Israeli annexation plans of parts of the occupied West Bank. Additionally, He noted that the last batch of stranded Palestinians abroad is scheduled to arrive July 28 from the U.S.
