Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers and Chinese Ambassador discuss areas of joint cooperation

Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Dr. Ghanem and Chinese Ambassador to the State of Palestine Guo Wei met at the Chinese Embassy to discuss ways to support the Palestinian government's vision to develop the national economy and enhance citizens' resilience to the policies and measures of the Israeli occupation.

During the meeting held at the Chinese Embassy in Ramallah, the Secretary-General expressed his thanks and appreciation for China's firm stand in support of the rights of the Palestinian people and rejects the settlement policies and the statements of the US Secretary of State that the Israeli colonial settlement is not contrary to international law.

"Israeli settlements are illegal and a war crime," Ghanem said. The international community should assume its responsibilities towards the US action that violates international law and international resolutions, in addition to providing international protection for the Palestinian people from the policies and procedures of the occupation against the Palestinian human and land.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador affirmed his country's support for the rights of the Palestinian people and its rejection of the settlement policies that violate international law and continue to support the Palestinian cause politically and economically. At the end of the meeting, the two sides affirmed the joint cooperation to support the vision of the government and its efforts to disengage from the occupation and embody the Palestinian state.
