The Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh, stressed the importance of an international front to bring pressure to bear against Israel to end its occupation, preserve the two-state solution in light of the systematic destruction it faces, and recognize the State of Palestine.

Meeting Maya Tissafi, Assistant State Secretary of the Swiss foreign ministry and head of the Middle East and North Africa Department, and Viktor Vavricka, the Swiss Representative to the State of Palestine, Sunday at his office in Ramallah, Dr. Shtayyeh; called on Switzerland and the international community to pressure Israel to abide by the reached agreements.

Furthermore, His Excellency called for the cessation of all Israeli actions and violations against Palestine and for providing Palestinians with international protection. The Prime Minister confirmed the existence of a grave political vacuum and the deterioration of the situation on the ground, which further exacerbated violence, emphasizing the lack of acceptance of the status quo.

The Palestinian PM discussed with Tissafi ways to enhance bilateral relations at all levels and the importance of joint coordination of support in accordance with the Palestinian government's priorities, thereby contributing to job creation and economic development.
