The Prime Minister and ANERA; on the Organization’s Ongoing and Prospective Programs
Ramallah, Wednesday, April 13, 2022 —
The Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh, welcomed today, at his office in Ramallah, the President of the American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), Mr. Sean Carroll. Dr. Shtayyeh discussed with Mr. Carroll the organization's programs and future projects.
The guest informed the Prime Minister about the organization's projects in the employment, education, and training sectors in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip. ANERA has worked in partnership with relevant ministries to establish dozens of kindergartens and support pre-school education.
His Excellency commended the programs implemented by the organization in various sectors, stressing the need to enhance coordination on different programs in line with the government's priorities and in accordance with its development agenda.
Dr. Shtayyeh called on ANERA to provide technical support for the development of the University of Nablus's technical and vocational education programs to be in accordance with the latest vocational training systems. ANERA's support will enable Nablus university graduates to access the labor market domestically and abroad through contemporary professional and technical programs and implement programs to support women's employment.
