The Prime Minister Meets a Greek Parliamentarian Delegation

Ramallah, Thursday, March 31, 2022 —

The Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh, met Thursday at his office in Ramallah with a Greek Parliamentarian delegation and briefed them on the latest advances, political developments, and violations of the occupation.

His Excellency stressed that Israel's actions increase tensions and undermine opportunities for establishing an independent Palestinian state. Such actions include illegal settlement construction, land seizure, the ongoing policy of murder, administrative arrest, house imprisonment, the detention of martyrs' bodies, and daily incursions into the Al-Aqsa mosque.

Furthermore, he reiterated the importance of implementing the indivisible international law with respect to Palestine, halting the use of double standards when dealing with Palestine, and ending the occupation.

Dr. Shtayyeh valued Greece and its people's solidarity with Palestine, the Palestinian cause, and the Palestinian people, Greece, which has historical ties and geographical and cultural convergence with Palestine.

For their part, the Greek delegation expressed their support for the Palestinian people's right to establish their own independent state on the 1967 borders and to resume peace talks to achieve a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian question.
