We want a unified international position that demands an end to the Israeli occupation of our lands

 

The Prime Minister, Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, discussed with the Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Oresco, the political developments and opportunities to create a serious political path, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Riyad al-Maliki.

The Prime Minister stressed on the historical relations between Romania and Palestine, and praised the Romanian positions in support of Palestine, and its continuous support for the Palestinian people, including scholarships, various programs, and support for "UNRWA"

Shtayyeh said, "The solid international position rejecting annexation has proven that it is capable of thwarting the Israeli plans, and there must be a unified international position to end the Israeli occupation of our lands and support the implementation of international law and decisions."

He continued, "Israel is trying to divert attention from the cause of our people's suffering, which is the occupation, towards the economic and social symptoms that result from it, and to transform the conflict from a politician on the ground into a struggle to improve living conditions under occupation."

For his part, Orisco conveyed the greetings of his Prime Minister, Ludovic Orban, and stressed his country's position in support of the peace process based on the two-state solution and international legitimacy, and the need for serious work to return to dialogue at the appropriate time.
