Shtayyeh: We are following the epidemiological situation in Gaza, moment by moment, just as we are following it in Hebron, Jenin and Jerusalem
Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, today, Thursday, announced the formation of a governmental follow-up committee on the epidemiological situation in the Gaza Strip, consisting of the Minister of Health, the Minister of Social Development and the ministers of the Gaza Strip, whose mission is to take care of everything related to the epidemic and submit its recommendations to the Council of Ministers.
The Prime Minister said: "We are following the epidemiological situation in Gaza, moment by moment, as we are following it in Jerusalem, Hebron and Jenin, and we have instructed the Ministry of Health to provide all urgent needs for the Gaza hospitals immediately, including examination swabs, medicines, prevention supplies and others, so that they can carry out their tasks in the face of the outbreak of the epidemic."
He continued, "We will send a ministerial delegation to Gaza in an urgent manner to assess the situation on the ground, discuss needs and obstacles on the ground, and submit recommendations to the government to take the necessary measures."
On the other hand, the Prime Minister instructed the Minister of Social Development to increase the number of families benefiting from financial and relief aid in the Gaza Strip to reduce the economic repercussions on citizens.
