President Mahmoud Abbas said: "Although we are facing the Corona pandemic, we will spare no effort to protect the city of Jerusalem and Jerusalemites, and we will do everything possible to support and preserve it, and we will not allow anyone to tamper with its properties."

This came in a phone call he made during the meeting of the Jerusalem High Committee, which was chaired on his behalf by Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, today, Wednesday, in his office in Ramallah

The President stressed "the necessity for all to stand together, in the face of the Corona pandemic, and to stand together in front of the conspiracies that our cause is being exposed to our national project, through the scheme of Israeli annexation, and to Judaize the Holy City."

The committee discussed ways to continue supporting the Holy City and its people, and at the top of that work is to pay financial sums for shop owners in the old town due to the Corona crisis that affected the commercial movement in the city, and for hospitals, to continue its work, and the formation of a committee to discuss some issues related to the Makassed Hospital, and ways to protect Education and national institutions in the city.

The Prime Minister said: "We will remain faithful to the Holy City, and we will preserve the Islamic-Christian narration in it. We call on all our people to cooperate and integrate to face the dangers facing our people and our cause, at all levels."
