Shtayyeh briefs the Algerian president on the latest developments
The Prime Minister Dr. Mohamed Shtayyeh, briefed the Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun, on the latest political developments and the Palestinian position rejecting the "Deal of the Century".
Shtayyeh said, after a meeting with President Taboun, on the sidelines of the 33rd African Union Summit:” His Excellency the Algerian President informed us of the Palestinian position regarding the deal of the century, the suffering of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, Gaza and the rest of the Palestinian territories, and our efforts towards achieving reconciliation and elections.”
The Prime Minister praised Algerian support for Palestine, and said: "The spirit of twinning between the Palestinian and Algerian peoples will remain over time and this is not alien to Algeria and its history."
For his part, President Taboun affirmed Algeria's support for Palestine, saying: "We are with Palestine, whether it is unjust or wrong."
