Shtayyeh lays the foundation stone for Yasser Arafat's school and announces a package of projects in Jenin
The Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh opened on Sunday, the new building of the Jenin District after rehabilitation, in the presence of Jenin Governor Akram Rajoub, a number of ministers, Acting EU Representative in Palestine, Thomas Nicholson, representatives of institutions and events of the province, and leaders of the security establishment in the province.
Shtayyeh thanked the EU for its support to this project. "The EU is a partner not only in the buildings, not only in providing more than $ 500 million annually, but also in our partner in justice, peace and ending the occupation," he said.
The Prime Minister added: "This project today is among many projects submitted by the European Union in partnership with the Authority, and we opened today this edifice at a cost of 11 million euros, in the name of President Mahmoud Abbas, who would have liked to be with us."
He continued: `` I salute the members of our security establishment for preserving security and citizens and their property, and I send a message to them that our struggle against the occupation is political, on the ground, and our struggle is also legal and ethical, and our behavior in front of the citizen is very important, so that human beings feel at home and feel secure. ''
For his part, Nicholson stressed that the position of the European Union is unchanged, no matter how the standards and the attitudes of others on the right of our people to establish an independent state like the rest of the peoples of the earth. The European Union rejected the continuation of the occupation and settlement, which was and is still illegal, stressing to continue to support the rights of our people.
The Prime Minister met with leaders of the security establishment and the Fatah movement in Jenin governorate, in the presence of Governor Akram Rajoub, at the governorate headquarters, where he was briefed on the situation and the most important needs of the province, in addition to the security situation there.
Shtayyeh met with the institutions and activities of Jenin Governorate at the Korean Center in Jenin, where he reviewed the latest political situation and the government's plans based on the development of clusters
The Prime Minister announced a package of projects to be implemented by the government in the governorate, most notably the establishment of a new hospital, and the completion of the rehabilitation of Jenin Haifa Street, in addition to the completion of work to complete the project Bisan Park.

The Prime Minister concluded his tour of the province with a visit to the Arab American University, during which he met with the President of the League Ali Zaidan Abu Zuhri and the university staff, in addition to the Students Union Council and a number of university students from our parents in the territory of the year 48.
