During the launch of the olive harvest season in Tulkarem
H.E.Dr Ishtayeh: our national product is a priority and we will take all measures to protect and promote it.
This came in the presence of the Governor of Tulkarm, Issam Abu Bakr, the Minister of Agriculture Riad Al-Atari, the Minister of Education Marwan Awartani, the Minister of Local Government Majdi Al-Saleh, the head of the Wall and Settlement Authority Walid Assaf, the directors of the security establishment in the governorate, and a crowd of citizens and volunteers.
The Prime Minister Dr. Ishtayeh: "We came here today to emphasize that we and the farms in one trench, to protect our land and our trees, and this season is a diamond season; there will be a prolific production, not only to meet the local need but also for export."
"Our national product is a priority and we will take all measures to protect it. Our policy is clear that we will not allow damage to our product, including olives and oil."
The Prime Minister added: "It is important that we do not import anything that affects our national production, and are part of the strategy of disengagement from the occupation, and expand the production base of our national economy, whether it be agriculture, industry or all sectors."
He continued: "On behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas, we congratulate our people in Tulkarem at the beginning of this season; the Governate of Tulkarm has enough agricultural production, to be an integral part of the agricultural cluster.
