H.E. Dr. Shtayyeh: the government doesn't spare any effort to mobilize the international support for UNRWA, and to ensure the renewal of its mandate.
Ramallah - Prime Minister`s Office: H.E. Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, received in his office in Ramallah today, the Commissioner General of UNRWA, Mr. Pierre Krahenbuhl.
The Prime Minister stressed that all efforts should be exerted at all levels to mobilize political and financial support for UNRWA and to ensure the renewal of its mandate, in order to continue offering its services to the Palestinian refugees everywhere.
H.E. Dr. Shtayyeh also appreciated UNRWA`s role in supporting Palestinian refugees and establishing development projects in the camps. He also stressed on the importance of continuous coordination between the government and UNRWA based on the principle of roles` integration in implementing projects, to ensure delivering the best services to the refugees.
H.E. Dr. Shtayyeh also stressed that UNRWA is as important as the final status issues. His Excellency said that the Trump administration is trying to force the Palestinian leadership and people to accept the so-called "Deal of the Century" through "war waging" against UNRWA by drying up its funding resources. The said "war" comes through a partnership between US current administration and Israel to put an end to the Palestinian cause.
