Under the auspices and presence of the Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, the Ministry of Local Government, represented by its Minister Magdi Al-Saleh, and the Munib and Angela Al-Masri Foundation represented by the businessman Munib Al-Masry, signed today, Wednesday in the Prime Minister’s Office in Ramallah, a memorandum of understanding to complete the preparation of the national spatial development plan.

The Prime Minister said: "Today, on the first of July, we are responding in a practical way in addition to the popular movement over the occupation’s annexation plans. Our project today aims to embody our Palestinian state on the land with Jerusalem as its capital, in addition to that it undermines the foundations of the division of geography and eliminates classifications A, B, C). "

 

Shtayyeh added: "Our project today is also at the heart of the government's strategy, and our main concern is to go towards a break from the colonial relationship imposed on us by the reality of the occupation. Accordingly, when we talk with businessmen, we are not talking about donors, but rather the pillar of the national economy that supports the national product." The patriot, who will help us to break away from the occupation, and economic independence are a precursor to political independence, which is a lever for the national project, and also contributes to creating a parallel development in which the civil work harmonizes with official work. ”

 

In turn, Minister of Local Government Magdi Al-Saleh said: "Today's agreement comes within the government's vision to achieve linking the development plan and plans to the spatial dimension, and provides a tool to guide the development of national priorities. It also constitutes a response to challenges and opportunities, through managing limited resources, and planning to exploit the available capabilities ".

 

For his part, Mr. Munib Al-Masry said: "We see in this agreement a new phase of partnership between the public and private sectors, and we will continue to harness all the available capabilities to serve the country. This project will unify our development vision for Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the State of Palestine, the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and we will implement it on the ground to be a message for a state The occupation is that we are heading towards Jerusalem and the independent state. "
