Solve It Platform, which is an initiative carried out by the Prime Minister's Office and the UN Development Program/Program of Assistance to the Palestinian People, focuses on the innovation for the sustained social impact/influence.

Also, H.E. the Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh said during the launching event of the imitative: "Solve It Platform is an important initiative that makes the community a one lump that participates in the making of the recommendations of decision making. Such an initiative is a  pool for ideas and developmental initiatives that the Palestinian government will take seriously and will invest in, in order to establish companies and projects for the owners of promising solutions. We will employ all forms of supports needed to make this initiative succeed in cooperation with development partners."

The challenge of employing the youth came as a the Palestinian government response of the socio-economic impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic on the food and agricultural systems in Palestine.

Moreover, the challenge seeks proven models for integrating the youth in the agricultural-food value chains/series, in order to support the plans of the economic disengagement and reduce the reliance on the Israeli agricultural market through supporting the current and the new food value chains with technologies and services, in addition to enhancing the sustainability of the local food systems and creating a space for employing the youth; thus, reducing unemployment rates.

For participating in the challenge, the applicants shall fill in a form via the internet, which can be accessed through Solve It Platform website (www.solveit.ps) in English or Arabic. Then, a committee, made up of the Prime Minister's Office, the UN Development Program/Program of Assistance to the Palestinian People and experts in the sector, will select the winning solutions to benefit from the support and funding provided by this challenge, starting of USD 10 thousand and might reach USD 80 thousand.

Hence, the winners must be available and committed to start the incubation stage and verifying the solution once they are selected. The Prime Minister's Office seeks to comprehend the solution, not only at the local level, but also, it encourages and supports the transforming of such solutions into income producing projects for the owners of those solutions and other participants in expanding the range of the solution and its spread at the national level.
