Signing agreements to support the water and land sectors from the Netherlands and the World Bank

Under the auspices and presence of the Prime Minister Dr. Ishtayeh; Agreements to support the water and land registration sectors from the Netherlands and the World Bank were signed Wednesday at the Prime Minister's Office.

The first agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Water Sector Organization Mohammed Abu Ramadan and the Netherlands Representative to Palestine, Kees van Bar, to improve services in the water and wastewater sector.

The second agreement was signed by Minister of Finance Shukri Bishara and World Bank Representative to Palestine Kanthan Shankar in favor of the Land Authority to support the land registration project in Palestine.

The Prime Minister said: "We appreciate the support of the Netherlands to the water sector in Palestine for its importance, especially in light of Israel's theft of our water, and we take great care to every drop of water in our land."

He added: "We defend our water rights to preserve them and provide the Palestinian citizens with water, whether in the West Bank or Gaza Strip. We seek to reach every Palestinian house until the end of next year."

The Prime Minister continued: "We thank the World Bank for this grant in favor of the Land Authority and in partnership with the relevant ministries. The land in Palestine is not a real estate, but it is the homeland, and registration is part of our project to establish our state on the borders of 1967."

He added: "We defend our water rights to preserve them and provide the Palestinian citizens with water, whether in the West Bank or Gaza Strip. We seek to reach every Palestinian house until the end of next year."

"We hope that the registration of all lands in Palestine will be completed to stabilize the rights of their ownersand by the end of this year 1.2 million dunums will be completed," he said: President Abu Mazen is paying attention to this project, because of its association with the land, our steadfastness and our national project.
