The Secretary-General of the Council Speaks on Rising Prices, Delayed Salaries, Hindrance To Transfer Palestinian Funds

Voice of Palestine — The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Amjad Ghanem, assured fellow Palestinian citizens that the government had dedicated the forthcoming Thursday meeting to discussing high prices due to the issue's importance and complexity, adding that the government will take every possible measure to mitigate its impact on citizens.
His Excellency confirmed that the delayed payment for the last month of May employees' salaries was due to the Israeli occupation government's hindering the transfer of clearing funds and that pressure was brought to bear on it to transfer the above-mentioned Palestinian funds.
Dr. Ghanem further stated that Palestine is a state under an Israeli occupation that controls its resources and even its border crossings, noting that the Palestinian government is making every effort to fulfill its obligations to its citizens.
