Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Dr. Amjed Ghanem receives his Jordanian counterpart and stresses the depth of relations between the two countries

The Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Amjed Ghanem, received in his office in Ramallah the Minister of State for Prime Minister Affairs, Sami Al-Dawood, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Palestine Muhammad Abu Wandi, and the accompanying delegation.

Ghanem expressed his deep appreciation and the appreciation of Palestinian people and their leadership to the Jordanian positions, led by King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein, who are consistent and supportive to our people and their just cause at all levels.

He affirmed the Palestinian government's keenness to strengthen and develop relations with the sisterly Kingdom of Jordan in various fields, and continuous coordination in various issues of common concern, wishing Jordan and its brotherly people to continue progress and prosperity.

For his part, Al-Dawood affirmed the depth of brotherly relations between the two peoples and the Jordanian and Palestinian leaderships, and the kingdom's full readiness to provide all forms of support, praising the work of the Palestinian government and its insistence on advancing the Palestinian services sector, especially health services provided to citizens.

The meeting between the two sides dealt with a number of issues, most notably the possibility of holding the upcoming Palestinian elections in Jerusalem, and the nature of the difficulties that Jerusalemites face as a result of repeated Israeli violations against them.

In this context, Ghanem stressed that the government's primary goal is to enhance the steadfastness of the Palestinian citizen on his land, and to provide all elements of steadfastness that enable him to live in peace, security and safety.

In another context, the two sides reviewed the mechanism of work of the Council of Ministers in both countries, and agreed on the importance of exchanging experiences between the two sides with regard to preparing for cabinet sessions

Ghanem handed the follow-up report on the results of the visit of the Palestinian ministerial delegation to the brotherly Jordan during the month of July to his Jordanian counterpart, where the Jordanian minister expressed his great interest in achieving all the desired results.
