The Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Dr. Amjed Ghanem met today in Ramallah His Excellency Ambassador Essam Ashour, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Palestine. This meeting is part of the follow-up to the results of the visit of the Palestinian government delegation headed by Dr. Mohammed Ishtayeh to the Arab Republic of Egypt on the eighth of October
The Secretary-General reviewed at the beginning of the meeting; a number of constructive meetings during the official visit, which brought together the two brotherly countries in a framework of fraternity and remarkable cooperation. Indicating that cooperation will be in several areas, including the exchange of experiences building cities, veterinary, animal husbandry, fisheries and aquaculture, Mutual recognition between the two countries in the export of products, Cooperation in the field of endowments and religious affairs, Communication, mail, formation of joint economic committees, energy and electricity, agriculture, training of cadres, and many other areas. He stressed that a committee has been set up in the Council of Ministers to follow up the results of the visit, headed by the Secretary-General personally.
For his part, Ambassador Ashour affirmed the depth of the Egyptian-Palestinian relations, explaining the importance of these meetings and their repercussions on supporting the Palestinian economy, improving living conditions and exchanging experiences. Referring to the speedy response of the Egyptian leadership in arranging the meeting and following up the implementation of the desired results, he asked the Secretary General to brief him on the results of the meetings of the Follow-up Committee in order to complete this role with the Egyptian side to facilitate the procedures and to reach the desired results as soon as possible.
