The Prime Minister and The U.S. Delegation; On The Cessation of All Unilateral Israeli Actions and The 'Two-State' Solution

Ramallah, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 -

The Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh, welcomed a U.S. delegation headed by Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara A. Leaf and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Hady Amr. The meeting discussed the recent developments and the situation in Palestine resulting from Israel's escalation of its actions and violations against the Palestinian people and Palestinian sanctities at his office in Ramallah Tuesday.

The Prime Minister confirmed that the ‘two-state’ solution is the only way to put an end to the conflict and to make every effort to address the solution's constraints, particularly illegal settlement.

Shtayyeh stressed the significance of reopening the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem, as well as removing the Palestinian Liberation Organization from the U.S. list of terrorism, reopening the Liberation Organization's Washington office, and declaring the Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority as a partner in peace.

His Excellency called on the U.S. administration to intervene in order to halt all unilateral Israeli actions, all Israeli attempts to Judaize the city of Jerusalem, and the temporal and spatial division of the Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
