Signing of grant renewal agreements from India worth $ 36.1 million for Education, Health and National Press

Under the patronage and presence of the Prime Minister, Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, Grant renewal agreements have been signed from the Republic of India worth $ 36.1 million

Prior to signing the agreements, Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki handed over the representative of India, Sunil Kumar, the title deed of land presented by the State of Palestine to the Republic of India for the purpose of building a temporary headquarters for the Indian embassy until the establishment of the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and the embassy’s headquarters there.

The first agreement was signed by Minister of Education Marawan Awartani, with India's representative Sunil Kumar, to build a school in the Triangle of Shuhada village in Jenin Governorate at a value of $ 1 million, and to build a school for girls in Tamoun village in Tubas Governorate at a value of $ 1.1 million.

The second agreement was signed by the Minister of Health, Mai Kaile, with the representative of India, to establish a super-specialized Indian-Palestinian hospital for orthopedics, paediatrics, gynecology and internal medicine that will be designed to meet all patients' needs under one roof, in Doha, Bethlehem Governorate, at a value of $ 29 million.

The third agreement was signed by the General Supervisor of the Official Media, Ahmed Assaf, with the representative of India, to purchase equipment and machines for the new National Printing Press, with a value of $ 5 million.
