It is worth noting that the Investment for Resilience (IPR) program will support Palestinian communities in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, mitigate its medium to long-term socio-economic impacts in the areas of health and employment, and enhance access to sustainable and high-quality services. Around 500,000 people are expected to benefit from the program throughout the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

As part of the immediate response, the Investment for Resilience Program (IPR) will enhance the readiness and capacity of the Palestinian health system by creating about a thousand short-term job opportunities for health work teams and skilled and unskilled workers over a period of twelve months, along with training, and through the purchase of Medical equipment and supplies for health facilities, in addition to purchasing and placing six medical waste treatment devices and training health workers.
