The Prime Minister Confirms the Rule of Order and the Protection of Law

 

 Security Forces will prevent any violations

 

The Prime Minister Praises the international alliance for stopping the annexation plans, and confirms the continuous fight against fake facts

 

Shtayyeh is presiding a meeting for the High Emergency Committee, Governors and Security Forces to follow upon the measurements taken to reduce the Coronavirus outbreak map on Wednesday

      

 

 Ramallah – H.E. the Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, emphasized, at the beginning of the weekly session of the Cabinet that was held in Ramallah on Monday morning, on the rule of order and protection of law, to provide security for the citizens, before out-breaking  the law. He also confirmed that all those who miss with the communal and civil hierarchy will be uncovered and will be accounted for such doings, because those people violate the values and traditions of the society, and weaken the national immune system for facing the recurring Israeli attacks and aggressions, the most recent of which is the martyrdom of the young mother, Dalia Samoudi (24 years) by an Israeli gunshot with cold blood while she was making her infant a bottle of milk.

 

The Prime Minister mentioned that a meeting will be held this Wednesday, for the High Emergency Committee, Governors and Security Forces to discuss the measures and procedures that the government is intending to take during the next phase to reduce the Coronavirus spreading map, as well as creating balance between citizens health and safety and ensuring the continuity of the spinning of the economic activity wheel.

 

The Prime Minister confirmed that the work is continuing to face the Israeli attempts to impose false and fake facts on the ground. He praised what is achieved by the international alliance that has contributed so far in the stoppage of the Israeli-American annexation schemes.

 

Moreover, the Minister of Health also presented a report on the epidemiological situation that the infection rates are rising. She called upon all citizens to wear masks, washing hands regularly and to keep their social distancing in order to prevent the spread of the virus any further.

 

The Council of Ministers condemned all the aggressions on Dora Public Hospital, that is assigned to follow upon the treatment of the Coronavirus infection cases. Such aggression caused the damage of some medical equipment designed for patients treatment and making them out of service. The Council of Ministers emphasized that aggressors will be brought to justice.

 

Furthermore, the Minister of Finance presented a report on the financial situation in light of the poor revenues and returns to the treasury, as the occupation authorities are still holding in clearance money, which reflected on the government’s ability to fulfill its obligations and bearing financial and economic burdens. 

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also presented a report on the ministry’s efforts to secure the return of about 17 thousand citizens of those stuck in the different countries around the globe, in addition to secure traveling to about 2 thousand citizens to go back to their work around the world, as well as tawjehi and university students who joined Arabic and global universities.

 

The Minister of Telecom & Information Technology presented a report on the quality of services provided to citizens in telecom field and internet speed, as the ministry shall follow upon this regard and present a comprehensive report on the status of such services, as well as setting required plans for the development of those services and improving the quality level. 

 

Also, the Minister of Higher Education presented a report on the reality of medical education and medicine schools in Palestine. He also presented the ministry’s plans to develop this sector to support the medical system with qualified medical and health staffs, as well as ensuring the best medical services are provided to citizens.

 

The Council of Ministers also condemned the Israeli occupation forces murdering of the young woman, Dalia Samoudi (24 years) inside her house. Dalia is a mother of two kids, and was shot dead during her attempt to protect her kids from suffocating with tear gas that was bombed by occupation forces during their attack and storming in Al-Jabriyyat neighborhood in Jenin last Friday. The Council extended their sincere condolences to the family for their tragic loss, confirming that this crime will be proceeded and brought into the International Criminal Court.

 

The Council of Ministers also extended their sincere condolences to Al-Sheikh Family for the loss of their son, Khalil Al-Sheikh, calling the Investigation Committee to get it work done fast. They also extended their sincere condolences to Al-Jallad Family for the loss of their son, the laywer Abdullah Fareed Al-Jallad, a member of the Board of Trustees of Palestine Technical University “Khadoori”.

 

The Council made the following decisions:

 

  • 1-Forming a ministerial committee to put a vision on how to establish a safe infrastructure for a network of optical fibers that strengthen the Palestinian capacities in the field of technology and transferring data of all types.
  • 2-Forming two committees to attract and select a Chairman for the National Agency for Technical and Vocational Training and Education and a President for the Public University for Technical and Vocational Training and Education.
  • 3-Seeking the approval of H.E. the President for suspending the validation periods regarding objections before settlement courts.
  • 4-Approving purchasing permission for a number of Palestinians who don’t hold Palestinian ID.
  • 5-Approving the purchase of additional equipment for completing the work on operating Al-Jalama Station in Jenin Governorate.
