Signing a German support agreement for the sewage sector in Salfit

Ramallah- Prime Minister Office: Salfit Municipality, the Water Authority, and the Ministry of Finance have signed an agreement to support the sanitation sector in Salfit, with a value of 3 million euros.

This came today, Thursday, in the Prime Minister's Office in Ramallah, in the presence and patronage of the Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, and the presence of the German representative to Palestine Christian Clags.

The Prime Minister said: "I thank Germany for all its assistance to Palestine, especially in this difficult circumstance, in which Israel is trying to demolish the pillars of the Palestinian state by annexation."

He continued: "The international community, with a clear message, says that we are with Palestine, and with implementing projects for it, to strengthen its infrastructure, in order to establish the state of Palestine on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital."

Shtayyeh added: "Our primary concern is to have our hands on the pulse of the people and help what we can. This project today is for Salfit Governorate, which is worth 3 million euros, to complete a project that started since the nineties of the last century, when we agreed with the German government to start studies to prepare for it, and since that time to Now this project is going through episodes, and we are now in the final stages of it, to serve Salfit and the Governorate as a whole, and we hope that the station will be completed as soon as possible. "

In turn, the German representative to Palestine, Christian Klagz, stressed on continuing to provide support to Palestine this year, and the coming years, whether from the German government or the German Development Bank.

The agreement was signed on the Palestinian side by the Minister of Finance, Shukri Bishara, the head of the Water Authority Mazen Ghoneim, the mayor of Salfit Abdullah Zubaidi, and on the German side, the director of the German Development Bank office, Jonas Blum.
