Shtayyeh: We are dealing with the "Corona" crisis as a national issue in which everyone participates
He praised the popular response to all preventive measures from "Corona"
Prime Minister, and the Minister of Interior Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, headed a meeting for the Supreme Council for Civil Defense, in the presence of the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Dr. Laila Ghannam.
Shtayyeh briefed the members of the Council on the latest developments regarding the Corona virus, and the measures taken to combat it, praising the spirit of partnership and the high positive responsibility in dealing with the state of emergency and the popular response to all preventive measures that limit the spread of the virus.
The Prime Minister said: "As a matter of responsibility and concern for the human being, we have transferred the file dealing with the spread of the Corona virus from a sectorial issue managed by the Ministry of Health alone, to a national issue that all sectors participate in dealing with."
The Prime Minister called for strengthening the partnership between all institutions and joining efforts, and investing in volunteer work for youth during training and voluntary programs in this crisis facing us, in addition to increasing community awareness campaigns to prevent and limit the spread of the virus.
Shtayyeh stressed the importance of coordination between the civil defense and the Ministry of Health in following up the quarantine centers and meeting all their needs, activating the central operations room for civil defense, and coordinating with all parties.
