The Ministry of Health and the Medical Syndicate sign an agreement to end the union's protest steps

The Prime Minister said: "We thank the Medical Syndicate, which understood the financial conditions that the Authority is going through due to the financial war waged by the United States and Israel, and we have seen the demands that they made, where some demands is immediately enforceable, and some demands needs money, And the union understood the financial conditions we are going through.”
Shtayyeh added: "We must maintain the health sector in a spirit of democracy and understanding. For us, it was the first test in the disengagement from the occupation, and President Mahmoud Abbas is keen on this important sector, and this year we will employ 298 doctors, nurses and health workers, and will start The recruitment process next week, in a way that enhances our cadres and their efficiency, and reflects our interest at a time when it has not made any investments in other sectors”.
The Prime Minister continued: "We appreciate the effort made by the Minister of Health and its ministry, the head of the Medical union and members, as well as thanks to all the professional unions that have made demands, and they understand that we live in an exceptional circumstance, in Israel this year, discounts of 667 million shekels, which are our obligations towards Our people are prisoners and martyrs
And Shtayyeh added: "The announcement of the end of the actions taken by the union came at the appropriate time in light of the spread of the Corona virus in the world, and there are many actions that we have taken on all joints, whether they are arrivals and departures, some hotels and others, and we wish safety to our people."
In turn, the Minister of Health Dr. Mai, thanked the undersecretary of the Medical Syndicate, who understood the financial and political situation of the National Authority, also thanked the Prime Minister who worked hard to accomplish this agreement, and the President, who patronized and was following day and night.
"It sounded the alarm in Palestine because all the Neighborhood countries have cases of coronavirus infection, and there are suspected cases of coronavirus infection in the city of Bethlehem under investigation, and we are waiting for the results of the examination and we will announce the results as soon they are issued, whether negative or positive."
And she continued: "The fight against the Corona virus is not only for the health sector, but for the various sectors. Therefore, the Prime Minister will give instructions to all these sectors, whether security, internal, external, or tourist and religious places to limit the spread of this virus and address it.
The Minister of Health added: "We wish safety for all and we wish everyone to always communicate with health centers, and we are giving the best service to our people, and there will be an emergency national plan not only for the Ministry of Health but also for the private sector, civil society and various sectors, and there are trainings taking place from the Ministry of Health for all sectors in order to confront any infection with this virus.”
For his part, the head of the Doctors Syndicate, Shawky Sabha, said: "This agreement came after the instructions of President Mahmoud Abbas in the crucial moments and in the appropriate time, and the follow-up of the Prime Minister and the Dialogue Committee and the relevant ministers, headed by the Minister of Health, who had an important role in overcoming many obstacles in cooperation with the Prime Minister. And our commitment to directions of the president to end our protest steps, and we apologize in the name of the Medical Syndicate to our people if there is, any negligence on the part of the doctors, and we promise you that we will be together with the leadership and the government in the professional and medical work and also in the national duty. "
