Shtayyeh meets with the Tunisian President and discuss with him the networking of interests between the two countries

They confirmed the rejection of the American plan to liquidate the Palestinian issue

The Prime Minister Dr.Mohamed Shtayyeh, met the Tunisian President Qais Saeed, today, Monday, at the Carthage Palace in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, where he conveyed to him the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas, wishing him success, and for Tunisia, security, stability and overcoming all challenges.

The Prime Minister briefed the Tunisian President on the latest political developments and the efforts of the leadership to face the deal of the century by calling President Mahmoud Abbas to hold an international peace conference, and to find a new negotiating mechanism in which the sponsorship is multiple and the reference is international law and international resolutions.

Shtayeh said in a statement after the meeting: "We are very keen on the success of the democratic experiment in Tunisia, and the Palestinian people are closely following this experience, which we wish for goodness and success, and we highly appreciate the Tunisian historical position towards the Palestinian issue."

The Prime Minister added: "We discussed with the Tunisian president the enhancement of prospects for cooperation and economic and trade intertwining and many areas, and there will be an arrangement for visits between ministers as well as investors from both countries to network interests."

He continued: "President Saeed has informed us of Tunisia's clear position on everything related to the American plan to liquidate the Palestinian issue, which Tunisia rejects, and that Tunisia accepts what the Palestinians accept and reject what they reject."
