The Palestinian Cabinet condemns Israeli demolitions of Palestinian buildings in the Jordan Valley and 'Area C’ and deplores repression against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons and Jails.
During the weekly Cabinet meeting held in Ramallah today, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh condemned the extensive Israeli demolitions of Palestinian buildings and facilities in the Jordan Valley and 'Area C’ in favor of increasing the number of settlers in the Palestinian territories to one million during the upcoming decade aiming at killing the prospects for establishing a viable Palestinian state.
Additionally, Dr. Shtayyeh expressed his appreciation for the role that the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority plays in rebuilding Palestinian facilities that Israel demolished in these areas, stressing that the government would provide the necessary requirements to support the residents of these areas in order to enhance their resilience and protect their lands.
The Cabinet also deplored the repression and abuse committed against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons, especially in Ramon and Damon prisons.
To conclude, the Cabinet ratified a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of statistics between the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and the Russian Federation
